Loosely inspired by.

I am having a hard time deciding between two songs that are both vying for the title of "jay's official musical guilty pleasure of summer '07". One is the new track from everyone's favorite boy-band-that's-not-really-a-boy-band, Maroon 5. The other is a new track from a British former Christian teen-pop singer who is trying to shed a teensy bit of her good girl image.

The first track is obviously the best musically, as Maroon 5 is fairly talented band. The second track however has burrowed it's way into my brain like one of those worms from Star Trek II. No matter how many other good songs I listen to, they seem to be powerless at removing this particular auditory stain from my mind. I hope the song becomes a hit so I will not be the only male in America walking around singing the chorus' tagline under my breath in public places without being aware of it.
