... she'd feel pretty neglected since I never call her or see her or anything.
One of the annoying things about being male and putting down "Single" on your MySpace profile is that you get a lot of messages and friend requests from girls who are just pimping their "site where me and my friends hang out and have fun with each other". In other words, their site where you pay money to watch them take their clothes off (and do other stuff too...I mean, you know, not that I would know or anything) in front of a web cam. The profile images used are pretty funny as well; some semi- to un-attractive girl in a state of partial undress. The funniest one was just a girl's bum clad only in a g-string. I laugh because it strikes me as a humorous way to introduce yourself to the world at large: "Hi, my name is Brandi! And this is my ass!".
I don't know if this girl does cam work or not, since I did not visit her profile. And I suppose it's possible she is telling the truth, though highly unlikely since most of the pictures I put up at MySpace are either of me as a child or me as a South Park character. But, I've gotten so many of those camgirl invites and messages I think I wouldn't believe it if some real girl actually did decide to message me just to tell me I'm cute and that she hopes I don't have a girlfriend.
"I don't have a girlfriend. I just know a girl who would get really mad if she heard me say that."

[Update!] - Apparently this was just the first of a spate of such things.
