I have been off work since last Friday. I ended up without the necessary funds with which to travel, so I am stuck here at the house until next Wednesday, when I go back to work. At this stage of the vacation I am reaching critical levels of boredom. The only thing that kept the boredom from reaching this level earlier was the number of family and friend gatherings over the past few days. I ate with my mom's family and my dad's family, went over to Cary's house to get my old guitar amp that he has been holding on to since time out of mind and hung with him for a while, and played in a poker tournament with a bunch of people I don't know. I lost twenty bucks (the tournament registration amount) in the tournament, and then won six bucks in a cash game later that night; so, logically, while I lost fourteen dollars I keep feeling like, and obviously bragging like, I came out ahead.
The rest of the vacation looks like more of the same minus the gatherings. I might go out on Monday or Tuesday and take some pictures, but outside of that, nothing else is going on that I know of. My return to work on Wednesday is looking less like a pain and more like relief.
The following are some short items that, in my boredom, I wanted to post about, but which did not warrant an entire post unto themselves.
Finally got my Flickr and Skype MiniCards in. Moo MiniCards are like small business cards with photos from your Flickr photostream on them. Really pleased with them for the most part; the few I was less than happy with were my fault and due to bad crops during the set up phase. Give it a try for free at moo.com/flickr or at moo.com/skype. Any fellow moo'ers who find this and are interested in trading, please feel free to contact me here or at Flickr. Click the image and then mouse over pic for links to the originals.
The Flickr Camera finder has been making the rounds on the blogosphere lately. If you haven't seen it yet, check it out here. You can see what cameras are being used the most and even find the camera you use and see photos from others with the same model as you. The problem for me is I can now see shots from other people who use the same camera I do, and seeing some of the lovely shots that others are taking with it kinda kills my excuse about my pictures being bad because of the equipment I use.

Today in Cat Humor News...This page has almost all of those cat and "i'm in ur [foo] [bar]'in ur [baz]" photos in one spot. In related Squirrel News, this is really creepy.
And finally, Today in Viral Marketing Parody News...This version of that famous and beautiful Bravia ad (please watch the original first if you are one of the three people who have not seen it yet) made me laugh extremely hard for a long time. [via]
