i have a crazy theory…

after seeing several couples at the movie theater that match the description of the situation below, i have formulated this crazy theory to explain the phenomenon.
i believe that every now and then, a skinny, attractive girl will go out with a portly, nerdy loser so that they can be seen in public together and make all the other portly, nerdy losers believe that they actually have a shot with a girl that looks like that....
...and that is my crazy theory.
